EXHIBITION SECTIONS

Retrospectives: Joseph Morder, Gerrard Courant and David Reznak

In the 2010 edition, are invited three directors whose work we believe it deserves special attention, both for its quality and its uniqueness.
This is Joseph Morder (acclaimed French director and theorist), Gerard Courant (director, critic and author of several essays on the 7th art) and David Reznak (Director Franco / Spanish, founder of Film Club “La Enana Marrón”).
His work in Super8 format gives an enlarged scale, because these artists have used a traditionally amateur format in a professional way, having come to project his works at festivals such as Cannes, among others.
It will screen a selection of his works and we will have the chance to share views with them at the end of the projections. Asking, discovering and sharing the experience of the film's authors.

Super 8 full-length film

This year, “Toma Única” launches an initiative as a challenge: create a collective full-length film shot in Super 8.

The Super 8, being a small format and short coils, is often associated with shorter works also. But, why not a Super 8 full-length work?

We propose the possible communion between a small format and a large project, which in this case is the union of many small projects, those carried out by various directors, national and international. We want to test the format and see how the film resists stake.

The project is also an excuse to create a “cinematographic space” meeting of various artists who work with Super 8 and thus to enhance communication links between them, and offer viewers a range of forms, styles and proposals that articulate currently the Super8 format.
