Creation in Super 8 and 16mm short films section
One Shot film section
The will be showings of original Super 8 works, camera mounted, submitted to the competition without being developed and screened for the first time the day the festival is celebrated. As Super 8 is silent, all contestants are suggested to add a live soundtrack at the time of screening, live: it may be a CD, double live actors, musicians,… the projection of silent films are also welcome
The main idea of this section, which has been the festival’s original idea since its beginnings, is the proposal of bringing the cinematographic production to its simplest expression. Film director’s absolute freedom constitutes a basic principle for the festival. This section is motivated by the idea of an enriching and constructive leisure, establishing social connections based on the love for this artistic discipline, as well as an understanding of cinema as a creative space and play. In short, as a project of illusion, a utopia.

Super 8 and 16 mm creation films section
This section will screen films made in Super 8 and 16mm film, which can be deduced a creative proposal regardless of gender. Understanding a creative proposal as a search for new forms of audiovisual language and communication with the audience.
Unlike One shot film section, these short films have been able to be edited and post-produced.
